Drones That Never Sleep - aeroMind at PROTEGA Trade Fair
When seconds decide between life and death, and the terrain is too dangerous or too remote for humans to reach — a drone silently takes off. It rises from the roof of a vehicle, fire station, or shelter, cutting through smoke, rain, or darkness, analyzing the situation, and transmitting live footage to the command center within seconds. This is not a scene from a science fiction movie — it’s the new reality of public safety. And it’s exactly what aeroMind, together with DJI Dock 3, will showcase at the PROTEGA Trade Fair.
Natural disasters, fires, chemical spills, extreme weather, and infrastructure failures — these are the daily challenges faced by emergency and safety services. Response time determines effectiveness, and real-time situational awareness can make all the difference. Today, technology stands beside human responders, and one of its most powerful allies is the DJI Dock 3 automated drone system.
Imagine a rising river threatening nearby towns. Before emergency crews can reach the area, a drone stationed on the roof of a vehicle, office, or fire station automatically launches after receiving an alarm signal. Within minutes, it streams live video — including thermal imagery — directly to the crisis management center. Commanders immediately see the scale of the threat, enabling them to make informed decisions about evacuations, road closures, or the deployment of emergency teams. This is not the future — this is happening now, thanks to DJI Dock 3.
DJI Dock 3 – The Intelligent Aerial Response Station
The new DJI Dock 3 is the heart of an autonomous aerial response system. Built to operate in all conditions — from freezing cold to scorching heat, from heavy rain to dust storms — it enables fully automated drone operations with models such as the DJI Matrice 4D/4TD.
After completing a mission, the drone automatically returns to its dock, where its battery is rapidly recharged. The captured visual and thermal data are instantly transmitted to an analysis system that generates an up-to-date orthophoto map of the monitored area. The operator — remotely or automatically — can then schedule the next mission based on data from sensors or integrated warning systems.
The DJI Dock 3 can be installed on strategic sites — such as government buildings, industrial facilities, or critical infrastructure — creating a network of aerial observation points ready to operate 24/7.
Thermal Vision – Seeing What the Eye Can’t
Thermal cameras on DJI drones provide a vital advantage where human sight is limited. In darkness or over long distances, they can easily locate fire sources, burnt areas, chemical leaks, missing persons, or overheated components in infrastructure.
Combined with automatic launch and mission planning, these drones can serve as a continuous monitoring and early warning system — responding immediately when every minute matters. They’re not just rapid-response tools but also preventive ones. Regular patrol missions enable the monitoring of high-risk areas such as:
- flood zones,
- chemical storage sites,
- industrial facilities,
- riverbanks and levees,
- power and transmission networks.
In this way, DJI Dock 3 and DJI drones become the ever-watchful eyes of emergency services — always alert, always ready, regardless of time or weather.
Live Demonstrations at PROTEGA
During the PROTEGA Trade Fair, the aeroMind team will demonstrate the system in action. Visitors will witness DJI Dock 3 performing fully automated flights, illustrating real-world emergency scenarios such as:
- monitoring floodplains and inundated areas,
- inspecting infrastructure in high-risk regions,
- conducting thermal imaging missions in low-visibility conditions,
- transmitting live video directly to command centers.
Attendees will see how DJI technology enables faster, safer, and more effective operations — supporting firefighters, police, rescue services, and public authorities. Safer. Faster. From the sky.
